Spring Session 2025
If you love the sport and want to contribute positively to rhythmic gymnastics in any way, this is the place for you. We are an empowered, supportive and forward thinking group of people, who put the athlete at the centre of everything we do.
We offer a range of classes for gymnasts of all ages and abilities.
Beginners
Our recreational program is open to girls ages 3 and up, and is for the beginner athlete, or for girls who may not be interested in a competitive environment. Instruction includes basic techniques of rhythmic gymnastics, combining stretching, body conditioning, creative movement and dance, while learning basic apparatus skills including hoops, balls, ribbons and ropes. Our group of recreational gymnasts will also participate in our Annual Holiday Show in December and at end of the school year in May. This allows them to showcase the skills they have learned in a non-competitive and fun environment.
Pre-competetive
Pre-competitive program is non-competitive. This program follows the Alba Academy regulations and is used as a stepping stone for the competitive level. Time commitment is limited, but will increase as gymnasts move up levels. The main focuses being shape training, mastering core skills, increasing strength, increasing flexibility and challenging endurance. Start learning routines for the next competitive season. They also participate at our Annual Holiday Show in December and at the end of the school year in May.
Competitive
The Competitive Rhythmic Gymnastics Program is goverened
by the USA Gymnastics Federation.
Gymnasts are placed in competitive levels according to age, skill, interest, and commitment. Progression to the next competitive level is at the discretion of their coaches. Our coaches are committed to determining the best level for each gymnast at each stage of her development in the sport. The ultimate goal of Alba Academy is for each gymnast to reach her full potential in rhythmic and to enjoy this sport for a lifetime.
